Why Stress Shouldn't Exist

Dear Readers ,       I believe the world would be better if stress didn't exist. I know we have to experience sadness to appreciate the feeling of happiness.  But I don't think we need to feel stressed out every once in a while    to feel the satisfaction of being relaxed.       Stress is disadvantageous because even a person with good time management loses their efficiency because of it. Let me explain.     Suppose a person has one hour to complete three assignments. Maybe sixty minutes is sufficient for that person to complete those assignments. In  reality, though, that person will not get an entire hour. This is because, a fraction of that time is spent thinking about how stressed out they are because of the work they have to do.    I've been there. If I have thirty minutes to study, I'll probably only get 20 minutes' worth of studying done. The reason for this is: the entire time, there will be these thoughts in my head which tell me I have so much to do

Things to do While it's Raining

Hi guys! Sorry I haven't posted for so long...I didn't know what I should write about. But yesterday, a friend finally suggested blogging about things to do while it's raining. And I loved that idea...after all, it is the monsoon season. So here are somethings you can do on rainy days. SLEEP: Don't know about you guys, but for me, sleeping in the rain is really satisfying. So, if I have nothing else to do and it's raining outside, I take a nap. RIDE YOUR BIKE: I just LOVE going bike riding in the rain. I never miss a chance of doing this...it's way too awesome. GO FOR A WALK- If it's drizzling, go for a stroll. If it's raining a little heavily, take an umbrella if you don't want to get wet. Either way, walking in the rain is a great thing to do. SIT IN THE BALCONY(OR PORCH)- Just admire nature, read a book, call someone or anything else. SNACK- rainy days are just another excuse for foodies (like me XD) to eat hehe. When it's raining, I l

My Last Day of Summer Break

Hey guys! I really wanted to do a summer vacation-related post earlier this month but I never got around to it and now I'm gonna have to talk about the end of summer since I only have two whole days before school starts. I finished all my homework a week or two ago and today I made sure there was nothing left, which means I won't have to worry about that anymore. I am going to study a little though, because exams start from the 9th of July. I'm going to play with my brother as much as I can because on school days, we are really busy, and we have extra-curricular activities at different times, and when we both ARE home, we spend all that time fighting. Mostly, I just plan to relax and take it easy. This includes reading, calling my friends, listening to songs, etc.  I'm also recalling the fun things I did this summer- I went to Delhi, had fun when my relatives came here, slept a lot, etc.Thinking about these things make me smile. And of course, I'll make sure

Punjabi Songs I Love

Heyy guys!  I just LOVE Punjabi songs. There isn't a single day I don't listen to 'em. But there are 3 songs in particular I really enjoy listening to. Here they are: Teeje Week by Jordan Sandhu - I love the lyrics  and when I hear this song, I go, "yay!" This song is kind of funny too, and I do love a bit of humor. Jani Tera Na by Sunanda Sharma - I feel like dancing when I hear this song. Plus, I really like Sunanda Sharma's voice.  Diamond by Gurnam Bhullar - The music is really awesome and the double pitch effect   makes the song even better. Some other Punjabi songs I really like: Raat Di Gedi by Diljit Dosanjh Lahore by Guru  Randhawa Jimmy Choo by Guri Illegal Weapon by Jasmine Sandlas and Garry Sandhu Akh Lagdi by Akhil That's all for this post. I know I didn't write much but I just wanted to share 3 of my favorite Punjabi songs. I might make a part 2 of this post later. Thanks for reading! Until next time...

My Favorite Books

For a bookworm like me, choosing a favorite book is impossible. But after thinking about it for a while, I decided there are a few books I can consider my favorite. So, I've decided to talk about these books with you. THE LEMONADE WAR (by Jacqueline Davis)-The first time I read this book was in 5th grade- Mrs. Federhofer read a chapter to us everyday after lunch. I loved it and bought it right away. And since then I've read it at least 50 times- I'm not even kidding... it's that great. It's my go-to book for when I don't have anything else to read. I could read it again several times. I can also relate to this book as it describes competition between siblings and I have a younger brother.  WONDER (by R.J. Palacio)- I read this book for the first time when I was in 4th grade. I bought it from the scholastic book fair. I've read it three times since then. This book is so inspiring and there are some parts which made me cry each time I read them. I'd

How I Study for Exams

Dear readers, My final exams start from the 27th and I'm studying really hard for them. And there are some methods I use to revise and I find them really helpful and efficient.  So, I've decided to share them with you. I hope these tips help you too. I stick to my daily routine even on exam days. This includes music, games, friends, and more. But I always continue to have fun even during exam time. Sometimes, I talk to my friends  a little less than usual or watch less TV so that I have more time for studying. But I still take out time for them and my hobbies. I complete the easy chapters first. It's better that way. I don't really know how to explain why...but it just is. But sometimes, I do the harder chapters first. It depends on the subject, syllabus and the time I have. I don't worry too much bout the topics or questions I don't understand. Instead, I move on and focus on what I can  do. I never replace sleep with study hours. What one wants to a

Live in the Moment

We always plan for the future. We study for exams, knowing that passing our exams will help us get a good job so that we can earn for  living.     Planning ahead is necessary. But I feel we should sometimes forget about what's gonna happen in our life next and just cherish the present.     Final exams are on the way and I do plan on studying for them, but I'm not gonna stress myself out. Instead, I'm going to enjoy each day, each little thing. I know, performing well on these exams will help me in the upcoming years. But why would I care about improving my future when I just want to live in the moment?     I have one piece of advice for all those who take my tips seriously: Don't worry about the future. Plan ahead, but make sure you give yourself enough time to experience what's going on right now.    I know you all want yourselves to be successful later on in your life. But you should also understand the  importance of  savoring the present.    You hav
