Fruity Facts

Hi!
We all know the fruits have nutritious qualities. But along with these qualities, fruits have some fun facts that you might not have known. So let's get started with these cool facts about fruits.

  • Strawberries are the only fruits that have seeds on the outside. You might know this already, but  isn't that cool?
  • A Pineapple isn't a single fruit- it is hundreds of fruitlets that form one pineapple.
  • Grapes are actually berries. Crazy, right? Grapes don't look a thing like berries or as if they are part of the berry family. But it's true!
  • Blueberries start out green. Who could've imagined that? Blueberries are blue. So how come they start out to be green?
  • Apples float because their volume is 25% air. Did you ever think that a fruity fact and math could be related to form a single fact?
  • The husk of a coconut can be used to make ropes, brooms and brushes. All I can say to that is- what a useful fruit!! Lemons and bananas can be used as simple batteries. Wow, fruits can be components of a circuit...Nice!
  • Tomatoes are fruits and not vegetables. This argument is never ending but it is definitely confirmed that tomatoes are fruits.
  • Strawberries are not berries, but bananas are!!! Mind-blowing, I know. I was surprised as well. But even more unlikely, bananas classify as a herb too!!
  • Kiwis contain twice as much vitamin C as oranges. And I thought oranges were the more beneficial one. I'm just kidding, I don't like kiwis.
  • Eating an apple is a more reliable method of staying awake than consuming a cup of coffee. The natural sugar in an apple is more potent than the caffeine in coffee.
  • An avocado is a fruit and not a vegetable! It is actually a member of the berry relatives.
  • Avocado has more fat content than any other fruit.
  • Red fruits help keep your heart strong. Orange fruits help keep your eyes healthy. Yellow fruits help keep you from getting sick. Green fruits help make your bones and teeth strong. Blue and purple fruits help your memory.

Hope you enjoyed that. I want to thank the internet for helping me obtain this knowledge for my blog and for the future.

Thx for reading
